Wajima Bijou
Wajima-nuri is a form of Japanese lacquerware produced in Wajima-city, Ishikawa prefecture dating back to the Heian-era. To acknowledge the skilled work of Wajima-nuri maki-e craftsmen, Sailor announced the launch of the Wajima Bijou fountain pen with inspiration drawn from jewelry design.

Repetitive coloured urushi layers are coated on the pen body to create a gradation effect. The cap top finial is studded with mother-of-pearl and hand-applied with a Sailor emblem on coloured finishing depicting a jewel.
Coral represents happiness, healing and empowerment and the Coral pen comes with gold plated metal trims. Sapphire represents virtuous, noble and affectionate and the Sapphire pen comes with chrome plated metal trims and grip section.
A limited edition of 300 pieces worldwide, each pen is individually engraved with a limited edition number on the cap ring and comes with specially engraved 21k bi-colour gold nib. The pen fills using cartridge/converter filling system and packaged in a dedicated paulownia wood box lined with plush velvet.
