The strength and fine-grained beauty of Japanese maple, nurtured in the mountains of Hiroshima and polished to a lustrous finish.
Momiji was designated as the tree and flower of Hiroshima Prefecture in 1966. Found throughout the region and admired at many of Hiroshima’s most celebrated scenic destinations, the maple holds a special place in the prefecture’s cultural identity.
The beloved Momiji Manju, an iconic confection of Miyajima, takes both its shape and name from the distinctive maple leaf, further reflecting the deep connection between Hiroshima and this treasured tree.
Both commemorative fountain pens are fitted with Sailor’s legendary Large-size 21K Gold nib, featuring an elegant bi-colour Gold and Rhodium finish, available exclusively in Medium-Fine nib width.
