This edition honours Henri Matisse, a defining figure of 20th-century modern art, renowned for his bold use of colour and expressive forms. Inspired by Blue Nude III, the Limited Edition 4810 features blue and white lacquer with platinum-coated accents. What appears as an abstract composition subtly reveals a female figure when rotated, echoing Matisse’s playful visual language.
The sculptural cap reflects the rounded forms seen in his work, while botanical motifs on the cone draw from nature—an enduring source of inspiration for the artist. The hand-crafted, rhodium-coated Au 750 solid gold nib is finely engraved with botanical elements reminiscent of The Sheaf, alongside interwoven “H” and “M” initials, uniting art and craftsmanship in a refined writing instrument.
